Just as well I always give in to my cravings, otherwise DD's birth mark would look like a Krispy Kreme doughnut!
I've also heard the arms above the head one. Sounds like a good excuse to avoid housework to me! And yes, the over heating one is definitely true. That's why spas and saunas are off the list when pg.
Umm the 'A Girl baby steals your beauty' was true for me. With DD I broke out in pimples all over my face, chest and back. I hardly even got a single one during puberty but my skin looked like rice bubbles then. With DS I didn't get that.
'More hair = More reflux' was also true in my case.
Otherwise.. Nothing I don't think.
its kind of related but kind of different but I have been told not to exercise with arms over head as it raises the heartbeat/blood pressure faster which in early pregnancy especially isn't good.
Both my Dr and trainer told me this so all weights have to be done around torso level
my sister told me if i wanted a girl to only have sex in the morning and if i wanted a boy to only have sex at night lol noone has ever heard of it.

I had really bad indigestion when pg with DS2 and EVERYONE would say that to me. "oooh it's going to be a hairy baby""it's going to have soo much hair" etc etc.. He was bald til he was 6mnths old lol
I've heard the 'arms above your head' one aswell.
Worst one I've been told is to scrub your nipples with a scourer or steel wool to prepare for breastfeeding

"..consequences dictate, course of action then it, doesn't matter what's right, It's only wrong if you get caught.."
My MIL said she did this (scrubbing of nipples) with her two boys and was shocked I didnt know about it or try it![]()
Mo Chlann, mo Ghra', mo chuid den Tsaol
I was told by a little old lady that was in the next checkout to me (doing the shopping)..she used her loudest little old lady voice and said......
"honey, start rubbing Almond oil into your vagina 3 times a day, it'll stop any tearing and help the baby slide out easier'
ummmmm no thanks.
BTW- my babies all 'slid out' just fine![]()
Children are like wet cement. Whatever falls on them makes an impression Dr Haim Ginott.
