    Default Nose bleeds this bad?

sorry if this sounds stupid but where does the blood from nose bleeds come from? i had a full on nose bleed, worst one so far i blew my nose lightly coz i had the urge and good sized blood clots came out sorry to sound gross.

then it got me thinking where does the blood from nose bleeds come from, and even more the blood clots? i felt a bit drowsy after and i sat down and had a drink, my nose still feels weird.

I had continuos nose bleeds with dd and it is very normal. When you are pg your blood volume increases by about 50% and most women suffer from blocked sinus's as well, which makes the veins in your nose weaker.

Try not to worry, just keep a wet washer handy for the back of your neck and have a drink of juice and a sweet biscuit afterwards to help with the dizziness.

I also have this problem, had it with my last pregnancy and have it again now only not as bad this time round.

As Leajones said your blood volume increases a lot when your pregnant cause your supplying blood to bubs too.
Your nose is very 'vascular' ie it has a lot of small veins and as Leajones said a lot of women get pressure on their sinuses which then can cause the veins in your nose to 'pop' and bleed.
The light headed feeling probably comes from the release of pressure on the sinuses following the bleed and so nothing to worry about. However if you get a continuous nose bleed ie it's bleeding quite a bit over say 10 mins then go to the hosp.
