Ok ladies, I need your help. So gather round and toss me your ideas, preferably with a large rock attached cause Im thinking if it hits hard it just might work, hehe...In a bad mood cant you tell. This may be the wrong place to post this but I really dont care cause you ladies are the ones whose advice I respect most. Little miss and her eating habits are driving me nuts! I cannot get her to eat anything I make her. She is not starving as you all can plainly see, but yogurt, bananas and cocopops just are not what I would call a great diet. Nothing essentially wrong with them I guess but I am soooooo sick of making her food that does not even make it close to the mouth, then one DD at the fridge screaming "narna, narna" (that would be banana) cause she is hungry. You may say well just dont buy them for her and she will eat other things, to that I must reply if you have ever seen DD in full tantrum flight you would keep buying them too. BTW other fruit in the yougurt does not work, I just have to scrape it off the table when she spits it out. Ive tried making food as interesting as possible, whats the point, I spend 3 hours making something that is fun and interesting or arranged in a happy face and takes all of 2 seconds for a well placed hand to send it flying. We do the whole no war over food stratergy, but we have been doing that for lets see know...well I cant remember cause its been going on too long. Even all the snacks that she seemed to love so much, whether healthy or not, are just met with refusal too. She will not starve, I know this, however this does nothing to reduce the food wastage or save my sanity. Any ideas you guys have, Im al ears...hit me. Oh and if someone could possibly tell me that she will grow out of it I will be eternally greatful, hahahaha...cause I dont listen to myself hehe.

oh Olivia how frustrating!!! Having not had this prob yet with Em not sure I can help too much and I know Shauna can empathise with you... is that seriously all she will eat? Surely she will get sick of it???

I did nanny once for a little girl was would only eat chocolate mousse seriously...nothing else!!! BUT yes she did get over it if that helps...

At least she is eating some fruit imagine if only coco pops!!!! Hopefully someone can help you more otherwise def post in another thread asking cause you would not be alone.....

we have the same problem with Alexander, he even threw his pizza on the floor tonight

he'll eat nuggets, chips and cheeseburgers, sometimes his weetbix actually makes it to his mouth

everything else lands on the floor, a few hours after dinner we will offer him a sandwich so he isnt sick (if he doesnt eat the next day he will be sick and throw up even water) and he normally eats the lot cos he is starving, but other than that i dont know what to do either

if something does hit you let me know

oh and ds1 grew out of being like that- when he was old enough to understand the meaning of nothing else

Oh Olivia, I feel your pain i am SOOOO sick of hearing nah nah, and icky = biscuit.

Will she eat different things at Daycare?? Maybetry mixing yogurt with weetbix for breaky and make a banana sandwich, might get her used to other foods??

Just try mixing her fav foods with other food and she will get used to it, even if she only eats a little bit.

    I hope that helps.
    And then their was 5

how has everyone elses week been??

Shauna how was your birthday - hope you had a great day
Olivia - i would only give the same advice as the other girls - so sorry i'm no help - i pray that this is only a phase for her
Megan - good to see your back out of the house again - before i met everyone on here i use to love michaels check ups - any excuse to get outta the house - hope you and the family is keeping well
