From what I can tell - Choice recommend the Bosch Lifestyle Automatic - apparantly it uses 13L/cycle.
So now - how do i come up with $1500 and convince hubby that its a necessity![]()

Surprise due mid September
We have a F&P dishdrawer and they are just beautifulI wouldn't put saucepans in there though as they take up too much room so I still handwash pots and pans.
I get a sneaky sense of pleasure when the dishwasher and washing machine are both going - the fairies are washing both my dishes and my clothesI just wish they would learn how to empty them.

This is it Becs - I'd love to be able to just pop all our dishes in the washer, and also have a clothes dryer that completes a full cycle (ours only does 10-15mins at a time and the backyard gets no sunshine to dry clothes in winter)

we stopped using ours because it did seem like it was more power/water being used...
[but we were actually concerned even more about the chemicals needed to be used..
its so alarming the caustic things that we put on our dishes to clean them via a machine... yes.. the hot water is meant to wash them off but what if it isnt getting it all, and what about the flash-dangle rinse aids that are now incorporated in the powders etc....
we even tried bi-carb soda & tiny bits of washing-up liquid but it left a residue..]
i think all machines are different & the households they are in.. so, just like other things, it always depends on your personal situation..
oh & i soooo get you about the dryers girls..... whoever designed our house was a nitwit... crappy fold up clothesline behind a garage that doesnt get any sun at all.. winter or summer. we have to use the dryer or clothes airers for a family of 5. if we use the airers it takes 3 days to dry one load! sorry off subject....

We love ours - we only run when its very full and we've run out of cutlery and it makes things so clean and lovely.
I agree with amandaw. With dishes in it, the kitchen stays tidier for longer.
