    Default Light headed and nauseaous??

    Hi guys...

I dont have my midwife appointment until Friday, but the last few days Ive been really light headed and nauseous all the time.

Especially if I stand... Yep, walking isnt so bad, but if I stand, say to do the dishes, or look at something... I get this tide of nausea and haziness that sweeps up and over me. (best way to describe it)..

Has anyone else had this? Im 30 weeks pregnant, and have had a cold the past couple of days... .not sure if previously the sickness was me fighting it off, or if its got anything to do with anything.

Can get into my GP until next Thursday! LOL

I had it the majority of my pregnancy with my 2nd. Its awful isn't it! Mine was that b ad they thought i may have had vertigo. Its was horrible. There was nothing really i could do about it. It went away after bubs was born.

I also had a different type of dizziness, and that was when my blood sugar was low. I use to munch on an apple it it worked. Not sure if thats similar to what you are talking about

Jax, this is like a wave....

You know when you lay on your back in the last trimester, and that sick feeling that overcomes you because of your baby pushing against that artery or whatever it is. Its just like that.

I feel sick... and the nausea sweeps up and over me, then the dizzy feeling with it. YUCK!

Yeah i had that so much, its awful. I hope they can work out what it is. I went to the Drs the 2nd time and they just fobbed it off as "i wasn't eating properly" So i never did find out what it was

It can happen when I sit and my feet dont touch the ground too. I really wonder if bub has shifted recently and is pushing up against the nerve alot???

Bubba doesnt seem to be suffering at all though... little critter moves nearly constantly!

    Hi Mischief,

Throughout all of my 3 previous pregnancies I have felt the same thing in the last trimester and my problem was due to very low blood pressure. When my blood pressure drops lower than it usually is (which is borderline) it causes me to feel ill and dizzy and I have to be very careful in the warmer months even when I'm not pg. I actually passed out several times when I was pg with DS1 and DD but luckily I found a couch or bed to fall onto and have had people around me to make sure I'm ok. I'm hoping it doesn't start happening this time.

your gp finds the cause for you.

    Hi mischeif

I would head down and see another gp, you could have a inner ear infection there (you don't have to have the pain to go with it) especially if you've had a cold reciently, it could well be that bub is sitting in a funny position to cause this as well, also low blood pressure could be a cause, if you blood pressure is really low it could effect your blood flow to the placenta,

Thanks guys. I'll talk to the midwife when I see her tomorrow. Early pregnancy my blood pressure was quite low, so I dont know if that is playing up again.

As for the ear infection, thats a strong possiblity. I had the flu a couple of months ago and have been feeling quite sore through my sinuses since then. Was wondering if maybe I had a slight infection....
