Question Caeserean babies and mucus on lungs

Jeremiah has a slight mucus cough for 10 days now in no other way is he ill. So I am "assuming" due to him being born via c/section he's retiained mucus on his lungs.

If your baby had this how long did it last?

I'm popping him to the DR's next week if it continues as it's slowing going but still, better to be safe than sorry!

Yes a couple of my boys had this. My DS2 was still spluttering every now and then a few weeks after the birth.

Just get him checked out for your own peace of mind.

DS needed to be suctioned just after the birth, so he never had the cough.

I remember my son doing the same thing. You only just reminded me with that post.

I am pretty sure that he got a lot better after that.

That's good Pixie! Sounds like he may be on the mend. DS had a lot in his stomach after the birth and had to have his stomach suctioned about 8 hours later as well. Does make me wonder sometimes if that contributed at all to him being reflux? Maybe he would have been better off clearing it on his own like JJ.

    Good luck x
