    Default She wont nap!

I think my 18 month thinks she doesnt need her afternoon nap ( i know i do!)

I put her down at 1-2pm with a bottle, she has her bottle and keeps climbing down. i put her in, she climbs back out.

at the end i give up after bout an hour or of trying.

by 7pm she is dead tired.

    Their bed time is 8.30 - 9pm

What do i do. she wont sleep at nights without her sister being in bed (they share a room), i cant convince my 3.5 to fake sleeping as she starts crying.

Im out of ideas and patience

7pm is a good bedtime for a bub of her age, my bub goes to bed around then.
Does she have a morning nap? If she does Id suggest moving her morning nap forward and arvo nap back so they merge (in other words she will only be having that one nap a day now)
if she is only having the afternoon nap.. then Im not sure sorry hmm maybe try putting her down for it earlier, or later, depending on what time she gets up in the morning.

Whats annoying me more is my 3.5 year old "feels sorry" for her sister, and argues with me not to put DD2 down to bed.

What time does your bub wake up?

    DD2 wakes up between 6.30 -7am....

My 18mth old dd has just started to cry when put to bed for her nap (usually 12.30). Yesterday she cried for half an hour before she gave up and fell asleep. She's in a cot and can't climb out which makes it a little bit easier. She has a dummy and special blankie which she kept throwing out of her cot yesterday and crying out "dummy dummy". My girls share a room as well. dd2 goes to bed at 7pm and dd1 goes to bed at 8pm (to make sure that dd2 is well and truly asleep). So no advice really, but it must be an 18mth old phase All u can do is persist until she gives up and falls asleep as she'll still need her daytime sleep for a little while longer.

I think maybe you could skip a nap at that age, some bubs just like to not sleep earlier. Try the 7pm bedtime because she is so tired she will most likely fall asleep even without her sister there, and just be firm with your older daughter about the new rules (easier said than done I know)
