Default Question for both pro and anti CC'ers?

    A question - hopefully without starting an argument or debate - I just want to get a picture of parents who have young babies who don't settle;
      • Did your baby have reflux or colic or any other health issues?
      • Do you have other kids that you did or didn't CC?
      • Did you work full time or part-time during the time of CCing or non-CCing?
      • Did your husband/partner help with your baby or are you a single parent?
I just want to get an idea about other things going on that may have swayed your decison to CC or non-CC.

I am also asking for no-debates - I just want information please?

    • Did your baby have reflux or colic or any other health issues?

DD had mild colic, DS does not
    • Do you have other kids that you did or didn't CC?

I started CC with DD at about 8-9 months and similar with DS but I think we did a mixture of CC and controlled comforting (didn't leave room)
    • Did you work full time or part-time during the time of CCing or non-CCing?

Yes full time.... it's a killer with no sleep!!
    • Did your husband/partner help with your baby or are you a single parent?

Hubby helps because I'm too soft at times

I tried CC with DD - didn't help but am not ccing DS

Did your baby have reflux or colic or any other health issues? DS has mild colic/reflux

Do you have other kids that you did or didn't CC?

One DD, I attempted CC, it just made things worse.

Did you work full time or part-time during the time of CCing or non-CCing?

    No, just mumming.

Did your husband/partner help with your baby or are you a single parent?

My DH is a great support but often works really long hours, 7 days a week, so the kids and I are on our own a lot.

    I CC with my twins.

Did your baby have reflux or colic or any other health issues?
    No

Do you have other kids that you did or didn't CC?
    Yes.. the other twin....

Did you work full time or part-time during the time of CCing or non-CCing?
    Yes, full time uni.

Did your husband/partner help with your baby or are you a single parent?
    He is an amazing help.

I CC'd the twins because I had to. I could not physically comfort two babies at once, or comfort one baby alternately all night long, and still function.

I hated it... but is was a necessity for me.

    For Gabriel.

    I do not CC.

Did your baby have reflux or colic or any other health issues?
    No

Do you have other kids that you did or didn't CC?
Not at the same time... Which is why I don't think that it's necessary to CC one baby. There's no reason you CAN'T settle them.

Did you work full time or part-time during the time of CCing or non-CCing?
no.. But the twins don't sleep during the day, so it's not like I have any rest... but no.. I'm not doing any 'paid' work.

Did your husband/partner help with your baby or are you a single parent?
He still helps, but not at night as G settles easier for me.

After my experience with CC and the twins... I can't see why there's a need to CC one baby. I can't do it. I can't bring myself to not attend to my child, just because. With the twins I didn't have a choice... I can't settle 2 crying babies at one time. But with one child, I don't see the need for it.
