Question Is Milo safe in pregnancy?

    Hi,

I'm new to the forum so not sure if I'm posting this in the right place.

Does anyone know if Milo is safe during pregnancy. I've noted that Milo contains Vitamin A derived from retinol acetate, which I understand can be harmful during pregnancy.

Does anyone know anything about this??

Yep as long as you have it in moderation. One glass with a teaspoon in it per day is OK. There are goodies in it as well which are beneficial to a pregnant woman. The Vit A content is minimal and as long as you dont have half glass fulls with your milk three times a day you'll be fine.

um never noticed lol. I love milo and from memory had it with my other 2 pregnancies but this time it makes me sick, so i can only have little bits here and there. I switched to ovaltine.

Geez.. I hope you can drink it... I've been drinking it like it's going out of fashion (bit of a craving).

    Ooops !!

My OB actually suggested I drink Milo during my first pregnancy, just to help boost my iron levels a bit, and also protein I think....so I'm sure it would be fine

Was advised to drink milk plain and eat milo seperately - full of folate! But mixed with milk loses its goodness. Personally,I find it's not the same thing at all alone!

Wow! I never even thought of it during my pregnancies! I had it non-stop... come to think of it, I am still having it non-stop (and I wonder why I am putting on weight rather than losing it!)
