I was just about to give my DS2 some combantrin that I had in the cupboard and it looked a bit dodgy even though it hadn't gone past the expiry date. I rang the chemist and they informed my that Combantrin has been recalled and discontinued.

I just thought I'd let everyone know so if you have any Combantrin in the cupboard through it out .

This is all I could find online about it, but from lots of sources, so it would seem to me that it's only the specified batches of suspension liquid.

Johnson & Johnson Pacific Pty Ltd has advised of an urgent recall of the following products:

Combantrin Suspension 50mg/mL

• Batch No. 87254 – 30mL bottle (Wholesale Level)
• Batch No. 87255 – 60mL bottle (Consumer Level)

The reason for the recall is because of an increased number of complaints regarding the ability to resuspend Combantrin Suspension. This can give rise to dosing errors. Press advertisements appeared in newspapers nationally by 8 June 2007. Letters were dispatched by the sponsor from 8 June 2007.
