    Hi Zippy,

Are you moving to Perth soon or looking for an investment ? Benefits probably differ dependant on your situation.

depends on what you can afford, and want to pay I think.

Secret harbour is nice, but thats very SOR past Rockingham.

Takes about 2 years to build at the moment, they are so slow, due to brick shortage and high demand, so think about that too.

There are a lot of nice areas to live in around Perth. We don't really have any "bad " areas that are unsafe to live in. Especially if you are looking to build in a new community. It really depends where you need to get to work (Perth is extremely spread out) or if you have a particular preference for say a beach area. If you want to be near a beach affordable new housing is quite far north or south of the city. There are a lot of new subdivisions south west of the city along the Kwinana freeway eg Atwell, Canning Vale. Be aware though that we are in a housing boom and there is a shortage of housing so to have a house built could take a while. Look at the reiwa website to get an idea of houses and areas. As for schools and shopping you should have no problem wherever you choose. There are good shopping malls everywhere and as for schools if you decide you are not happy with a state school there are affordable private ones near most areas. It is a great place to live! I live along the river and I love it - great for walking, cycling and picnics. Hope this helps a little.
