Red face A question for those with twins

Did you get morning sickness very early on in your pregnancy?

I have been feeling sick since Thursday, throwing up and nauseous, unable to eat much. I have been to see two different doctors, both who suspected morning sickness, but so far the two pregnancy tests have come back negative.

Anyway, the doctor said I may be pregnant with twins to have morning sickness so early on, if indeed I am pregnant.

Just wondering how many mums of twins got morning sickness, and how bad it was?

At the moment I am feeling sick all day and night, taking maxolon to control the vomitting, am only eating a few dry biscuits or peices of toast each day (and I normally have a huge appetite!) and have lost about 4 kilos in the last 5 days.

I would love to hear your thoughts! Thanks!

I only had nausea with my twins in the early stages from about 6/7weeks and then it settled after about the 10 week mark but I did find that I needed to eat as soon as I woke up or I would feel very sick. I only had 2 days of true morning sickness at 16 weeks but other than that nothing really. I did find in my first trimester that there were certain foods that my body didn't want i.e pizza but I wouldnt associate that with morning sickness just my body not wanting it.

Well thats my story anyway buit I guess everyones different.

    Hi,
I had alot of nausea from about 5 weeks until around 15 weeks pregnant with my twins. But I was never actually sick. However I had really bad morning sickness with my first pregnancy which was only one bub and was sick at least 3 times a day for the first 12 weeks. Every pregnancy is different I guess.
Hope you start feeling better soon.

I had a lot of nausea and sickness from about 6 weeks to 16/17 weeks- all times of night and day, and anything could trigger it. In fact, I still have little episodes about once every 10 days or so now.

But I was reading someones pg diary the other day, and they said that they were having afternoon sickness, and someone told them it was a sign of twins/multiples. I was mainly sick in the afternoon/evening, so I guess it proved itself right in this case, but as Kimmymonster said, every pg is different.

With the twins it was about 5-6wks.

    I didn't have any.

I had a few days here and there where I felt nauseous all day..

But I think I only threw up once... and that was after a beef curry when I was 24weeks pregnant.

I don't think morning sickness should be used as an indicator of multiples.

I agree that its not a real accurate way of determining multiples, as every pregnancy is different. But it could be more useful comparing to ur own previous pregnancies. I only ever got a bit nausous for a week or so around week 7 or 8, with my first 3 children. So looking back on 4th pregnacy i should of suspected something as i was sick fom the start and actually physically sick which never happened before. Thought i was just getting too old, mind you was only 30. But turned out to be triplets!!!

    Hi,

I am pregnant with my first baby and not having twins, I just wanted to reply to your post being as my sister has 6 month old twin girls.

She felt nauseous a couple of times but was never actually sick from the morning sickness. She suffered from really bad migraines which ended up making her sick. As everyone said, each pregnancy is different and I would say that doctors/medical practitioners probably shouldn't put morning sickness down to a multiple birth.
