    Thumbs down Not enough material!

Oh I am so so stupid!!! I went to spotlight and bought some nice material to make curtains... bought the lining as well. This was a few weeks back. Finally got the material out to make the curtains and I havent bought enough!! How could I get it so wrong?? I bought 4 meters of both material and lining and I should have got 5!!
I'm such and idiot!!!!!!!!!!! Cost me a bloody fortune too! Now what am I going to do with it?

What sort of curtains were you thinking of making? Does the window go ceiling to floor? You could use it to make some nice decorations like cushions or recover an old chair.

No not ceiling to floor... Its for our back doors and they are 210cm high! so I am WAY WAY WAY off the mark!! I thought of maybe adding material either at the top or at the bottom but think that will just look stupid!
I've already bought different material to make cushions... and to cover the sofa! So now I just have material coming out of my ears!

Could you possibly make curtains for another window that doesn't require the same length? Other than that you could sell it.

Adding a wide border to the bottom of the curtain in a plain, coordinating colour would look OK.

Make it 1/5 the length of the drop for the right proportions.

do you know what? I did the exact same thing with my bedroom curtains, also floor length. Only I had in my head the door was 2m wide and 1.8 high. Nope, it was the other way around. So I went back and got the same fabric to join across the bottom and a piece of trim to cover the seam. I haven't actually got around to putting it on yet, but that's what I'm going to do.
