Default What happened to my beautiful little boy

    Hi everyone.
my hubby leaves in 3 weeks for 13weeks, doesn't sound like much i know but i am living 3000km from my family and it feels like forever sometimes. anyway, he goes in 3 weeks and my son is starting to feel it he is 17mths old, but is acting like a 2yearold already and he won't let any of us leave the room. he loves playing musical parents and if my hubby leaves the room he screams histerically what do i do? It willl truelly kill my hubby if he cries when he goes.
Any ideas how to help them out?

it is so hard. But some how we manage! 13 weeks is a very long time, My husband is away for 1 week now and he only left this morning and I am sad already

My dd was 13 months when My DH went away for 8 months My DD just adjusted, I know she was a bit younger than you DS now but It will be ok, after a few days things will settle.

I actually do a dvd up of dh and dd playing every time he goes away. And she whatches it every day sometiemes twice three times a day.

This will actually be our 4th trip since Ds was born first was when he was 4 weeks which seemed so easy compared to now. It is just that he is at this age, and since Dp got home he doesn't want him to leave ever again. we picked my hubby up from his last trip and he said hi to my DS and then went to out his bag in the boot, DS screamed and was hysterical until i pulled hi out and only calmed when he went to his daddy. It is harder on my Dp than my son. my Dp has only been around for 5-6mths the entire 17mths he has been alive and was away for 7mths of my pregnancy, amazing we even got pregnant. hehehe
The Dvd is really good i have been doing that and tape him while he is away and send it to him when he gets in to port visits. Thanks for the ideas
