    Unhappy Lump on bikini line

I am 27 weeks pregnant today and when i had a shower i noticed a painful lump on my bikini line.I have no idea what it is but i know it has a vein over it.What could it be could it just be a varicos vein(sp?).Should i goto the doctors to get it checked out?

I also have a sore belly button it hasnt popped out,its still an innie but wen i feel it it feels like there is a lump.Could it just be pressure from the baby or is it a hernia?
So many questions thanks in advance

The lump on yuor bikini line could be a pimple...I know when I was preg I had some really painful ones, and they were not normal, little ones, they were monsters, lol.
The belly button one is probably just pressure from bubs, does it feel better if you sit/lay in a different position? I had all kinds of weird pains in my belly with my 2nd pregnancy that I didn't have with my first. My belly button didn't pop out either time.
If both are still bothering you on monday/tuesday go see a dr, but it's probably nothing to worry about

    Hi Jaclyn&Serena,

Sorry if this is TMI - but I get really painful lumps in my bikini region all the time - not just when I was pregnant - they're kinda boils or blind pimples, and they can get pretty big - but as always, if you're concerned, get your OB to check it out.

As for your belly buttonn - I have a small scar on the bottom of mine from an operation 6 years ago - so I don't know if its normal or not, but mine got incredibly sore and felt sometimes like it couldn't stretch anymore or the skin would break! It didn't happen - it got a bit better when it popped out, but it was still fairly tight all the way through. Again, though - ask your OB!

Sorry couldn't be of more help - Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!

Occasionally i get an ingrown hair on my bikini line. They are really painful and hard to pop! Being pregnant makes it soooo much harder to get to it too!

No chance the lump could be an ingrown hair or pimple its too deep under the skin its hard and the pain is only when i wash myself over that area or something i will ask my doctor or ob wichever one comes frist im pretty sure all is ok just another pregnancy thing .The pain feels sorta like a bruise

Don't stress too much - this is exactly what mine feel like. If you can stand to, mine actually pop, although it takes a lot to make them do so, and it brings tears to my eyes!

But I would get it checked out - my mum has had these all her life too and recently got her GP to look at it for the first time, and was diagnosed with a skin infection. I'm just too much of a sissy to go to the doctor and say "Look at my privates, please"!

The lump on your bikini line could also be a swollen gland. I get them a lot in that area and under my arms. Depending on why the gland is swollen, it might not be anything to worry about. If it's still there in a couple of days i'd see a doctor just to ease your mind.
