Where can my DF learn Massage Techniques for Labour?

Hi Everyone,

I need to find out where I can get my hands on Labour Massage information. My DF is not a natural massager and I can't take the chance that he'll be able to figure it out on the day, so we need to get a book, or print something off a website so he can start practising now.

Anyone know of anything that has good tips or even better, step by step instructions on a few different massages?

I've done the usual googles and I'm not coming up with anything instructional.

If you go to a Massage Therapist who specialises in Pregnancy Massage they should be only too happy to help your partner with the massage technique he should use at each stage of labour.

As a Remedial Therapist myself with specialised pregnancy massage training, I'm only too happy to teach clients partners the correct massage techique to use during labour (as I'm way too much of a sook myself to actually go into the labour ward with any clients).

It's much easier if you are shown - just make sure you go to a therapist who has specialised pregnancy massage training.
