Default who or what was your main influence to continue long term breast feeding

I am quite interested in knowing: Who or What was your biggest influence to continue breast feeding Past lets say... 12 months... Or when your little ones weaned.

Or if you are still breat feeding now past say.. 6 months... but plan to feed until bub weans.

I think for instance bubhub has taght me sooooooooooooooooooooooo much in reguards to breast feeding long term, over coming problems etc. I always loved breast feeding, and my Mum is a HUGE supporter of it she breast fed long term with all four of us/me and my siblings.

    Thanks

My friend and my mum were my biggest breastfeeding advocates. Without them, I'm sure I would very regretfully be bottlefeeding.

They taught me what's normal etc in the early days and supported me and helped me through the tough times.

My friend is an extended breastfeeder, so I would have to say she had an influence as I thought 12 months was for some reason a cut off age.

My biggest influence is DS. It helps him when he is sick, I know he is still getting all sorts of vitamin goodies when he's being fussy with food and we both still do it as part of our routine.

    I love it

well I have suprised myself by passing 12 months last weekend BF Bear and still going strong. been under pressure recently from MIL & others to wean but stuff them. we don't all-night feed since a month ago which now makes me think we will keep going until two years or bear is over it, whichever comes first. Bear's health my main reason to persist, as she's cow milk, wheat, chemical intolerant so BF is best. also immune system and all those other things. and comfort and closeness. Bub Hub has been the best support and source of information, validation, reality checks, everything. would probably have quit much earlier on if I had not stumbled here one night when bear was about 2MO trying to google answers about sleep.

    thankyou dear BH BF mummas.

My mum, I guess. I was BF until I was 18 months and I just knew that I would BF my children. Unfortunatly DS weaned at 13 months when I fell pregnant with DD, so I am hoping to feed DD for a lot longer. I will continue to BF her until SHE is ready to stop.
