When did catnapping start?

Hi,

For those of you who have babies who only ever catnap I was curious as to what age this started?

DS2 is 5 weeks and for the past week has been only having a "catnap" in the mornings. He has still been having a reasonably good late morning and afternoon sleep but I keep wondering if he will develop into a catnapper.

I admit that I wouldn't really like it if he did decide to be a catnapper as DS1 slept all the time (and that was so great for me as I work from home!) but I guess catnappers are easier to take out and about as they only sleep one sleep cycle anyway.

The catnapping started when he was born! It lasted about the first 6 months!

Be thankful you get some good sleeps in during the day

I didn't notice until he was 6 weeks when I started to implement self settling and a routine.

To be honest, it hasn't really gone away. It might seem to for weeks on end, but then it comes back! Usually we still get one good sleep a day too, and my DS is 12 months now.
