Default Do u flaunt or hide Your Flaws?

I was watching the Tyra Banks show and she was talking about things u believe to be flaws in your appearance and whether u hide then or show them off.

I have a MASSIVE forehead (Bout the same as Tyra herself) and I usually try to hide it.

Just wondering what everyone thinks is their flaw and whether u hide it or flaunt it?!

Oh i have no flaws, absolutely perfect in every way

Now saying that, i suffered with terrible self esteem problems, which of course makes your life difficult. SO ONE DAY..i said no more. And now i'm confident, hold my head up high and if anyone critisises me, I just laugh it off.

    Yes I'm perfect...for ME

I divert attention. I show off the good stuff and people then gloss over the bad.

im one of those that openly talks about my flaws, drawing people's attention to them..which is crazy. then thats what people notice of you. i have plenty of flaws, definitely. but i am confident too, so if anyone were to come up and call me ugly (for example), i can look them right in the eye without so much as a blink and and say 'no i'm not' whilst dismissing them. no comeback for that. and then i get the last laugh. it's brilliant .

I'll generally try to conceal my flaws as best as I can...but then some days I just can't be stuffed.

I find my skin texture to be a MAJOR flaw...I have very large pores (which is heriditary...NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!) and since I can't fix the problem, I cover it with make-up. It doesn't look obvious if I put primer on first.

Anyway, I've discovered that I kinda have a rule about make-up. Depending on how far I'm travelling from my house depends on how much make-up I wear. (Unless of course I'm going somewhere special...no matter where it is I'll put make-up on!).

If it's to the local shops I'll generally not wear any.

If I'm going to the shops about 20 mins away...I'll do foundation, mascara and pinch my cheeks. I'll also roughly do my hair.

If it's to the bigger shopping centre (like Indooroopilly for all you playing at home...In Brisbane) which is about 40mins away...I'll do my hair properly and full face of make-up.

Then there's the places that I just don't care about looking good in...no matter wher e I am these places require NO decent clothes or make-up...the video store or a servo at night. I will travel to those places in my PJs if I like. (Because servos remind me of truck-stops...where travelling families stop at 5am looking their worst...and I believe that video shop staff KNOW you're just going to sit around at home watching movies anyway, and why would you look good if that's all you're going to do???)

YoungMumSteph, is that's you in the pic then I wouldn't say your forehead is MASSIVE.

It certainly doesn't warrant capital letters.

Looks sorta like a regulation issue common or garden variety forehead to me.

    You drama queen. LOL

I LOVE your avatar. Its my favourite one on here.

first off Im with shed your forehead is not huge!

Mb- well said that is a great way to look at it!

I have started to work with my "flaws" and not against them and love them for what they are..... what we may think is a "flaw" others are jelous of! We all want what we havent got!
For example... I have curly hair and spent half my life hating it and trying to "fix" it now I have learnt to love it and work with it!
and my freckles... hated them when I was a kid.. and my dh loves them!

i have a high forehead too. i know what you mean about trying to hide it but then sometimes i wear ALL my hair off my face and it's there for all to see. unfortunately i have so many other flaws to think about the due respect is not always given to that one.

    Flaws what flaws?
Some might concider my itty bitty tittys a flaw but i don't and I don't try to hide them with " chicken fillets" or padded bras. I actully feel realy uncomforable in a badded bra because its just not the real me.
Its all those little imperfections that make us unique and special.
