Default no hole in Hymen ?

Just wanted to share my story and see if any other bub hubbers had heard of this.
My 4 1/2 month old baby and I just spent a week at the sydney childrens hospital. After being wingy all day we took her to the local hospital because she was unhappy and had a hard belly. The doctor informed us that it was serious and we were rushed to a larger hospital by ambulance ... by this point she was really unwell, swollen legs, losing eye control, grey and green skin replaced her beautiful olive complection we all adored so much but she is TOUGH!
They thought the problem was a bowel obstruction until a peadiatric doctor in sydney suggested draining the bladder ... which they removed 240ml !!!! by catheter (BLADDER RETENTION ) which offered some relief for bub but by morning she was in the same position so it was drained again. An ultrasound revealed a mass in her lower abdomen but could not confirm what and where it was in her little body. Painful episodes saw her flown to sydney by air ambulance where doctors diagnosed pussy / blood build up in her uterus built up behind the hymen which was not perferated and draining naturally like it should. An operation took place to remove the build up and ensure that it would not happen again. One of her kidneys was dilated due to the infection and pressure.
Now she is well on the way to recovery and is once again her happy self and the doctors have said we are lucky to have our little girl.

Thank goodness you had such a fantastic team of doctors, nurses, and of course, thank goodness your daughter is okay!

I think your Mother's intuition really kicked in when you decided to take her to the hospital.
    Amazing intuition that is.

for you and your precious girl.
