    Default newborn poo colour

    i thought it was always a mustard yellow colour but rubys since this morning has been a browny colour. (does this mean shes not well?)

    (this was b4 i took my meds so it cant be that)

    any idea? it was a normal mustard colour last night. so it changed over night. just wondering if its an age thing or something ive eaten? i didnt eat anything different

    It can be almost any colour of the rainbow and be fine - the only colours you really need to worry about are black, red or white.

    When DS was a newborn he'd sometimes have the mustard yellow, sometimes more green, sometimes brown and all sorts of different textures. I have no idea why the differences but I guess it it'd be a combination of my diet, his development stage and his breastfeeding preferences (long vs short feed, one side vs both, frequent vs infrequent ie getting more foremilk than hind milk)
