Default Any Tips to get them onto a Cup?

Hi all, just wondering what is your best tips to get them off the bottle and onto the sipper cup?
My lil man is 11mths old and still drinking from the newborn "breast" shape teet Tommee Tippee bottle, even tho the teet is for 6mths plus he wont have nothing to do with a sipper cup I have spent at least $100 on buying diff kinds to get him to try them. But he just shakes them like a toy, chuck it, or just chew on it or completly crack it and scream until he gets his Tommee bottle he wont even take a diff bottle.
He wont give up his dummy either ... but one battle at a time lol

My DS wouldn't take a cup till he was 20 months old, and then he would only take the nuby cup caus it's kinda still like a bottle. Having said that, DS has delays and stuff so it may not be so relevant to your situation.

Does he sip water out of this tommee tippee bottle during the day? or out of a cup? Sarah is breast fed and I plan to continue breastfeeding her but it was a bit of a challenge getting her to drink out of a sippy cup from the time she started solids. Thats when we started it though out of various cups slowly but surely she drank water out of them. Dont waste your money trying all sorts of sippy cups though!! I have a cupboard full of all sorts, pigeon mag mag (hated those!) take n toss...they leaked as there was no valve in them! The best one for us was the aventi one with the flat spout with three holes I think. It does have a little breather hole on the top and sometimes it squirts many kids in the nose but they kind of get used to it maybe I used to fill it up a bit too much.

Now that she is 12 months old she drinks out of a Playtex brand one which we got from coles for $12.99. I offer her water throughout the day from this so shes kind of used to it now. I dont know how Im ever going to get her onto cows milk and get her to drink 200mls at a time! We'll see all in time I guess! The Playtex one is huge and she goes through one of those a day pretty much! Its got a colourful hologram design on it. Hope that helps

Does he get to be around others his age or a bit older drinking from sippy cups? eg at a playgroup or mother's group. I found that my DS learnt from others eventually. He started to want to drink from their containers and watched them very closely.
