I got my cake pan, a square one, and drew the skull within the lines....(on a piece of paper of course)....

As it was a carrot cake, it was bumpy and had a few cracks in it...cut out the shape, utilising most of the cake so very little wastage...(well DS and I ate it so wasnt really wasted anyway)

Used the icing to only just cover it, so it looked somewhat real...then used that new fudge icing to make the eye sockets, nose, mouth and just with a tooth pick, put some of the fudge on it and put it through the icing... to make the cracks etc..

I've kept the outline for future reference....

I loved it....plus somewhat well mainly healthy (apart from the fudge)

    That cake is awesome!

Did you end up getting the lightning mcqueen pan for your DS'2 B'day cake or are you doing it some other way?

No I didnt end up getting the cake pan, going to design and decorate myself and hope for the best...lol.... but if you have a spotlight near you, there are some great Cars decorations.....not too badly priced.
