Just wondering if anyone is from around Acacia Ridge.

We may be moving somewhere around there and I have a few question.

    Cheers

I have no idea on the area, i can't seem to find much information on the place.

My daughter Courtney is for 4 so I was wondering about Swimming, Dancing, Playgroups, Parks things for her to do. My son Xavier is 5mths so there's not much he can do ATM.

What is around the area to do as a family?

Is there anything that you can tell me about the area?

Is it easy to meet people?

We will be renting, are there any areas to stay away from.

Is there public transport or would we still need a 2nd car?

Is there a high crime rate?

I don't know if it will Acacia Ridge itself but will deffinatly be close.

Hi, I just recently moved to Runcorn and Acacia Ridge was in my areas to find somewhere as they are pretty close. Other nearby areas are Sunnybank, Sunnybank Hills and Coopers Plains. I would say that you would need a second car in any of these areas, there is public transport but I don't know if I would rely on it all the time. I'd also say that there are a few really busy roads and industrial areas through Acacia Ridge so be careful when you are looking for somewhere.

I found it hard to find somewhere good to rent as there is a real shortage at the mo, not sure if it just these areas but there were loads of people chasing every house that came up so if you are hoping to move I'd look early.

If you are looking to keep rent down there are heaps of townhouse developments around here (if you have no pets) which might be a good option. Some of them rent privately through the on site manager too rather than through a real estate.

I haven't looked into dancing and stuff but I've found that this area has absolutely everything and I am sure you would have no trouble finding what you need.

    Hope this helps.

I don't live in Acacia Ridge but I live about 15mins away. My brother bought a house in Acacia Ridge and the only house he could get was a house with the industrial train line 1m from his back fence. So 5 times a day a train goes past about 500m or so long for about 10mins.

Acacia Ridge is a big industrial area with lots and lots of traffic and trucks every where. IMHO I would not move or live there myself also I have heard there is a few strip clubs around the area also.

Have a look on realestate.com for some other areas to rent in.

Please do not take offense if any one lives in Acacia Ridge this is just my opinion.
