Default Single Mums you are amazing...don't you get scared?

To all the Single Mums out there, you are amazing.

I am home alone for the second night while DH is away and I am so over it already.

My DS who's 2 is sick, my 9 month old is teething and rather irritable and clingy (as you can imagine so is my DS). I love them so much, but I am sooo tired it's hard to cope with them needing me at every moment.

Also, I get scared of such silly noises and things (stupid thoughts in my head from what I see on TV shows, which no I don't watch when home alone). But geez I could not do this every night that's for sure...I freak out as it is.

Wow, anyway, as tough as I think I have it...yeah silly I know...you single parents are so wonderful to do it every day, every night all by yourselves with nobody to help you or your children.

    Cheers.

I live completely alone.. have done since I was 16. I've never been overly fussed on noises etc. & you do get use to getting things done on your own, sleeping alone, not freaking out at the little noises and things etc.

You'll do fine until DP gets home

I totally agree with everything you've said Boymum! My DF has been away since Monday at midday and I've been at my mum's twice since then, called both my DF and mum countless times and been out with DS every day... I am in complete admiration of single mums (and every other happy emoticon that was never created )

I don't think I am particularly "amazing" or anything like that. What other option is there, but to cope with the hand you're dealt?

I don't live alone but my house mates are pretty hopeless with that sort of things, so I am the noise checker and spider killer.

In all honesty I like being on my own.

I am in 100% control of my life, my house, my kids.
I make all of the choices, dont have to worry about arguments or conflict.

    I dont get scared.

I used to, but now I dont. I just snuggle in bed with my DD and read my book.
    Its great.

Also, DD is getting her first molar in, so shes cranky. I have two toddlers... and I really dont find it difficult. I never have, even when I was partnered. Its not that I'm special or wonderful. Its genuinely because I like it.

I also agree with the_queen (as usual). Well put.
