    Hi!
Everyone is telling me about how dangerous plastic bottles are... I feel like i have somehow been missed out on this information loop..
Im wondering is this another hype like dont stand near the microwave they can cause cancer phase etc, or if its really valid...
I have been using nuk bottles, i dont know whether i should throw them out and replace them, with what i dont know, or if they are okay.... hmmm hmmmmm any helpful advice will be much appreciated!

The reason why everyone is getting worked up about this is because Canada is going to ban any plastic with BPA in it. BPA is very common in baby bottles.

I usually don't listen to much of the hype but it has got me worried when a country like Canada has stepped up and said it is bad enough to ban.

We also use NUK bottles. We have been trying to get our DS to have his milk in other bottles but he won't have a bar of it. We are now trying to get him to have the glass NUK bottles but he still won't take it because it is different than what he usually has. We just have to work out something, somehow.

I know that Mam & Medela bottles are BPA free. There are a couple of others but I can't remember what they are.

I bought Avent magic cups - they are meant to be safe. For the moment, I have replaced the sippy cup tops with teats. (DD can use them later with juice or milk or other drinks.)

I have had some problems with leaking from under the lid though - seems to be a common fault as some other bubhubbers mentioned it too. A bit of a hassle when they leak but I feel much better with the "safe" plastic.

Life may not always be the party we hoped for but since we are here, we might as well dance.
