Default can it settle this early?

ive been reading alot of threads and people asking about getting through the first few weeks of pain.. but this morning i wasnt in any pain.. they didnt feel full and lately i havent been feeling much of a letdown when feeding..

ur prob going to say lucky me but im worried. im not loosing my supply am i. im taking fenugreek have done since ruby was 1 week.. very expensive but well worth it if i can keep feeding her, im eating alot and drinking alot too,, ive even thought about weighing her friday so i can get piece of mind.

sometimes i get a tingly feeling when she has been sleeping for a long time so is that my body saying the milks still there and she might wake up for a feed soon??

    thank you

I breastfed/am feeding both of my two past 12 months, and never once had any pain (except when they were testing new teeth!). It's the same thing as morning sickness - different women, different bodies.

I never "felt" the letdown, either, so maybe I'm just not sensitive to what my body is doing! Don't worry about your supply - bubs will tell you quickly enough whether they are still hungry. If he or she is feeding madly and retiring happy, your supply is fine.

That tingling feeling is the milk coming back in to your breasts in preparation for a feed. So its definitely there!

Keep up the good work - best advice I EVER got with breastfeeding is to RELAX. We all worry too much about it, even if things are going swimmingly. Enjoy this wonderful time instead.

Has there been a change in number of wet nappies? Can you hear swallowing? I think if you're worried having weight checked is a good idea But generally nappies are a good indication of how much milk they're getting.
When I cry, I am not being naughty or misbehaving; I am not being unreasonable. Please listen to me when I am feeling this way. I know it's hard to listen to me cry. Listen to me so that I don't repress these feelings and turn bitter when I get older. Please don't distract me. I need to deal with these feelings. Offer me hugs and support. Stay with me when I cry. Listen.. Keep listening..

Is she wanting to feed more often, or crying more as if she is hungry? If she still seems content after a feed she is probably getting enough, babies will usually let you know if they are not getting enough & are hungry. Wet nappies is also another good indicator. Goodluck.

Possibly.. or maybe your boobs are just in tune with her and knows she's ready for a feed! Hooray for nature!

Great advice from everyone I know of people who never felt any pain, baby attached brilliantly from day one, no let-down pain, no engorgement, nothing - and had brilliant long-term breastfeeding relationships. Like jaq said, different women, different bodies

You're doing such a fantastic job - have faith in your body, everything is perfect and going so well
