Question Need advice re hedgehog slice

    Help ladies!

I want to make lots of slices this week as my girls birthday is coming up and chocolate hedgehog slice is on the list. I googled a recipe somewhere and the instructions say to heat butter, sugar, cocoa then to take it off the heat and whisk in an egg. What I wondering is will the egg cook while Im whisking? As it needs to be refrigerated as well. No baking involved. Im kind of put off the idea of using egg if I havent cooked it but DH says I might need it in the recipe or else it wont bind properly.
    What do others think?

i have made hedgehog slice before from scratch. The egg will cook, and u can''t taste it at all. It will bind with all other ingredients, just like using eggs when u make a cake.
