    Angry Stop the mood swings!

This is just a vent, because I"m on day 1 of my cycle and my emotions and mood since this morning have been up & down and through so many loops, I just want to sit here at work and cry. Or Check into a hotel tonight and just. not. deal. with. it.

I would almost consider a hsyterectomy, if it would stop this d@mn cycle every month.

M, have you ever considered seeing a naturopath? It to me (although - be warned, I'm in no way medically trained!) that you might have a hormonal imbalance that needs some ironing out....there are lots of natural supplements available, and a naturopath would probably be just the person to talk to about it...

In the meantime, have a few of these cause its **** being stuck at work and not being able to just cry, eat chocolate, and slop around in your worst bum-out tracksuit

Thank you ladies, I needed some hugs. Though you've now pushed me really really close to the edge of crying at work, but it's a good cry.

Tami, you may be right, but I'm really hesitant about putting anything in my body. I've only been fully off the anti-d's for a few months, plus I have absolutely no faith that just because something is 'natural' makes it good for me. I do need to look at my diet though. The binging I normally do around now certainly doesn't help nor do the 4 coffees this morning!

Hey M, hope that it passes soon.

In the meantime, caffeine is way bad for the anxiety/stress type stuff happening in your body. May be equally bad in your circumstance.

And I think that keeping your blood sugars on an even keel can also iron out a few of the added kinks. I figure do anything that doesn't further complicate the original problem by not adding extra stress to your system.

Is it worth looking at something like the Mirena to break the cycle?

    Massive Hugs to you sweet

I know exactly how you feel and I suffer the same way, as you know.. day one for me today too and I've experienced all emotions today

I snapped at DH when he got home from work.. "Whats your problem?" he said
and before I could open my mouth again he says "Ooooooooh"

I was chopping onion at the time and I swear I could have taken the knife to his throat !!!!!

    Here is another hug

    *hugs* !

I have severe PMS every month, also known as PMDD. I recently saw a naturopath and even though it cost a lot of money, diet changes and nutritional supplements, I'm well on the way to feeling better.

Not that I'm saying you must do this also! Sometimes just doing a few small things can make a difference. Caffeine can be so bad for stress and anxiety during those critical days. Too much sugar is also a big one that affects me. Exercise, even light, can be a godsend to help keep things regulated. There's also a supplement called Chaste Tree Extract which cured me of PMS last year when I took it for long enough. Deficiencies such as magnesium, iron and calcium can contribute to PMS symptoms!

There's a lot that you can look at to try and balance it naturally. It takes persistence, it can be really, really hard to keep off the sugar and caffeine (I still fail at this, hehe).

Big hugs though, definitely know how you're feeling.

Oh my goodness! Are all the mods (well, those who aren't pregnant) in sync or something? I'm also on day 1 today and feeling like I could just pack up and leave for Vanuatu where the cabana boys could serve me cocktails all day and I wouldn't have a care in the world!

Only problem is that DH just got on a plane for Brissy this afternoon so instead I'm left here to care for 4 kiddies, one who's sick and won't be going to school again tomorrow.
And there's NO chocolate in the house!
(However, I did buy a 24 x box of drumstick ice creams yesterday - hmm, me see's tonight's challenge! )

Seriously though, it really might be worth a look into so me natural products to help restore a little balance. Also, I think you're right - 4 morning coffees does not a rational woman make .

just to defend myself, those coffees were spaced out between 8am and 12pm, lol. But I do agree, it was too much.

I have a headache, my back hurts, shoulders cramped, and I'm exhausted from last night which I think had more dreams (running, lost, lost children, stuck in places - gee, d'ya think I'm a bit anxious?) than actual good sleep.

Anna, I do not want to be in your shoes tonight. I don't know how you deal with 4 on a good day, let alone a bad day. You deserve every one of those drumsticks

I'm going to go home and see if DH has left me any chocolate fudge, or if I have to make more.

Martha - hand over the chocolate fudge recipe or the coffee GETS IT!
