I would think about 2 - 3 months before hand would be fine. I'm sure people would understand that you are quite tired and big with baby.

Tigerteel, congratulations on your twin pregnancy. My twins came 8 weeks early, so if you were going to have a baby shower I would thinking about having 1 prior to this. You could have 1 after you reach 26 weeks.

    Good luck

what about after the babies are born? I had mine afterwards and it was so nice as everyone gets to hold the baby. I also made it for when i was feeling better.

Tigerteel I know I have congratulated you elsewhere, but here it is again

I think around the 28-30 week mark would be quite good, you would still have a bit of time left beforehand. Are you going to find out what you are having and tell people?? People might like to give you more personalised things if they know that they are buying for a girl and a boy for instance, rather than say generic jumpsuits. JMO though, otherwise, you could wait until after they are born, and throw a welcoming party for them, then people would know what you have had, their names etc and could choose gifts appropriate to the little ones.

I only say this as we got given some beautiful things that were gender specific, as well as blankets and towels embroidered with names etc.

If you want to have it beforehand, and are not going to reveal any secrets, then I would give a list to family member so they can suggest things you really want and need, or even register with a baby store where you know you will be getting things you have asked for.

Best of luck - look forward to hearing more from you as your pregnancy progresses.

    Congratulations !!

My sister in law had twins and we threw a babyshower for her 2 months before her due date (just in case the bubs arrived early) and she still had heaps of energy. It was a great day.

Good luck with the baby shower plans, suggest making a list of presents or asking for gift vouchers from a certain baby store so that you can get what you need.
