No idea about cloth

Hi Cloth Nappy lovers!!

I am all ready thinking of going cloth for #2 (in the future...not now)
I am really confused about the whole cloth nappy thing

I only ever thought that you had the flat nappy and the usual disposable liner...After reading the other threads, I relised how wrong I was!!
But can not seem to find the info I want. I would love to know about the microfibre, hemp, booster, fitted...pretty much everything I feel really lost about this subject and sorry if I sound like a no-hoper.

I am a blank canvas in the world of 'new age' cloth nappies, so any advice is good advice!! You can pm me if that would be easier or better.

after picking Jens brain yesterday, I was about to start a thread myself asking what the heck the following were?

Insert
Perfold
Flat
Booster

and all that other clothie jargon....

I am seriously getting a fever about this and am itching to make my first purchase but being the anal person I am must have all the facts available before making a proper informed decision.

For an absolute starter, I'd recommend the brochure at www.modernnappies.org
then the info and FAQs at allaboutnappies.com (waaay out of date, but some good basic information) and ozclothnappies.org (more detailed and up to date),
Then attend a Real Nappy Week event or similar local gathering, then read the FAQs again,
After that, you'll be a clothnerd before you know it.

COMPLETELY unrelated to the topic at hand, Veve, but what is the view of? Ocean views? I'm cracking up laughing, but I can't figure out what the "view" is? My bub has a view of it's toes, but that's about it!

Thanks Veve I'll have a look at the site on real nappy meet. It would be great to go looking and learning i would be interested in going. (i'll just have to check what i'm up to then)
