Default Marg or butter ok for 8 mth old?

Bub has started finger foods recently and enjoying new tastes and textures. She sometimes has a small triangle or 2 of w/meal bread with a smidge of vegemite on. I haven't put any marg or butter on the bread to date but was wondering if you can?

Gosh... it would have been a while ago. She wasn't really interested in solids at 6mths cos she's very much a boobie baby.
It was probably around 8mths cos that's when she became a little more interested.

You have been given some wonderful advice.
But I thought I might let you know that I heard advocado can be used to.
