    Talking Baby on the way...

Hi, i started a thread a few weeks ago because i was deciding whether or not to have my baby. I'm 17 (18 in September) and should be having the baby around october 24. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone that replied to my thread it was the hardest decision i have ever had to make in my life, and seeing a little insight from other people was a great way to help me make up my mind. I'm so proud to have a bub on the way now My doctor said i was glowing with happiness this afternoon hehe! He also said i'm perfectly healthy- blood pressure is perfect, as is my weight As for the baby's daddy.... we've been together for over 2.5 years but our personal relationship has been enormously strained already and baby isnt even here yet!!!!!!! However, whether we are together or not he has promised to be there for the baby every step.

P.S... constant nausea is driving me up the wall!!!

Oh - I'm so happy for you!! It really is the most rewarding thing you will do with your life in my opinion! You're in for the best ride

Hope your morning sickness passes and everything runs smoothly - keep us posted!!

Try eating a dry biscuit or cracker before you get up in the morning to help settle your tummy, worked for me
    Me 25 FLYing
Him 27 trying to keep up
Him Jnr 15/10/2005 - keeps us both going

I don't know what your problem is, but I'm sure it's hard to pronounce

Isn't morning sickness just the worst? I didn't throw up once...I just felt continuously sick...it was horrible. Good luck with that (I found just eating breakfast helped a little...and staying away from food courts - because they smell foul!).

I hope you and your baby continue to be in good health...and I'm sure you will.

My advice: research ALL methods of birthing...you never know if you'll need a c-section after all (I didn't think I would, so when I had to have one, I had no idea what to expect!).

As for relationship problems...I fully understand. I often felt kind of jealous of my DP because he wasn't experiencing anything that I was, and could still do whatever he wanted without having to worry about the wellbeing of another life. That strain will probably continue for quite some time...but hopefully you'll pull through it unharmed. (Oh - and as for no sleep...you MAY be lucky enough to have a bub that DOES sleep. Mine did from 3 weeks...and usually sleeps for about 8-10 hours a night now...and she's only 8 months old!).
I've now lost 36kg thanks to the gastric sleeve!
