Default child labour and cocoa beans

DP and I caught a glance on channel nine this morning about child slaves obtaining the cocoa beans we eat in our everyday chocolate. We want to stop supporting this practice - what brands are there that do not buy these beans (and taste good )?

Is there any more reading we can do on this?

    Fair trade chocolate?

It's the yummiest stuff too, the absolute best. I love their dark chocolate especially.

I was going to suggest Fair Trade chocolate too.
There is a brand called Green and Blacks that make yummy organic fair trade chocolate as well as other things.

If you google Fair trade products, you should find it.

Coffee is one of the biggest problems. Most coffee nets the farmer less than three cents per cup sold. There are now many Fair trade groups that sell coffee and even Aldi have their own Organic fair trade coffee!

I was wondering the same thing. It's yummy chocolate, especially the milk one. I don't think I remember seeing Fair Trade on the label though.

Most health food shops stock it Robyn. And any organic food shop should have it too.
