I would really love your opinion on the name

I wanted to name my son Logan this but i couldnt get over the fact that a drake is a duck

Now we are going to try for a 3rd baby and im stuck again

Now Drake is of middle english origin and its meaning is dragon which im very happy with

But could/would you name your son drake

I quite like the name even though i have never heard of it before. The question is though would YOU be happy with the name because no-one else really matters if you have your heart set on it.
I have had people try and deter me from using my boys name because of how it could be refered to.
If people don't like it to begin with, it will grow on them and it no time at all they couldn't imagine him being called anything else.

Thanks ladies Gosh your quick at responding

Yes a drake is a male duck

you know i dont even really mind if the adult world thought it was a bit strange because i get a few looks about Logan

But its mainly the kids when hes off too school and there learning about animals and there you go the teasing begins or would he really get teased at all, kids these days have unusual names like duke, trae',bindi, milo i mean has it all turned around and if you have the plain name your teased haha i dont know

my husband didnt like the name 1st time around
but has now decided that he loves the name im totally clueless

I think you're right about the teasing thing. As soon as the kids at school learn that a male duck is a drake he'll get "quack quack quack" or something.
