Default Teething question - runny poo

I think im definatly going to sound like a first time mum here but im after some advice about teething. DS is 5 months and 1 week old and has already cut his 2 bottom teeth. One of them is half way up the other one has just come through. He wasnt too bad with it, panadol and bonjella seemed to do the trick. The second bottom one seems to be giving him a bit of grief - unlike the first. He is forever running his tounge along his it and lets out screams here and there and sometimes cries when the bottle hits his gums. Anyway to the question the last couple of days his poos have been runny and yellow...i know its common to get the runs when they are teething but i thought thats just when they were cutting and he has already cut them?? He has been very unsettled with his sleeping etc but its usually because he has pooed. Do you think its just teething or maybe somethign more? He doesnt have a temp or anything and does have his happy moments?!?!?!

My DS has had runny poos (and stinky!!!!) for the last couple of weeks now. He just cut three teeth up the top but the poos just keep on coming. One at 1.00 this morning and then another after his breakfast this morning. I'm presuming it's normal??

my three kids have always done 'teething poos' which can last for up to a week after the tooth is through. Nette has just cut her right eye tooth and the poos lasted about a week afterwards.

Most of the literature i had been given over the years about teething all say that the poo is unrelated to the teething, but my kids have all proved that wrong!

I think it is completely normal for some babies/toddlers to get this when they teethe, so Hayleylea I think your DS is completely normal, but if he does get a temp, there could be another cause.

Unhappy I have a 'the poo' issue as well....

Hiya Ladies, My little girl Molly is almost 8mths and has just cut her first 2 teeth on the bottom of her jaw and my goddness her poos are pale and stinky as well. The book do tell us that this type of reaction has nothing to do with teething but I think they are wrong. Anyway goog luck to everyone going thru the teething phase..... and I only hope it all ends very very soon.
    Cheers
    Karla
