    Default MELBOURNE GAMES 2006 Proud?

Well done to the competitors, volunteers and staff who made the Games a success! Melbourne sure has been busy and I feel a buzz that Melbournians (can't speak for others!) are proud and happy that the Games have been well received.

Out of curiousity, would any of you wear a John So t-shirt? This isn't meant to be political in any way - more of a quirky way to show Melbournely love.

    Just wondering...

i didn't get the opening ceremony. i liked the tram landing in the arena, but lost interest within 5 minutes after that. i thought it was disappointing and really relevant to melbourne only, and not designed to hold the attention of the millions who weren't from there. i don't know, maybe i should have watched the whole thing, but i just didn;t find it compelling enough.

channel 9's coverage of the games was

I was watching a show on ABC last night and apparently loads of people agree with me. It was even in the papers, how they only interviewed the aussies even when they came 7th or 8th and never interviewed any winner (unless they were from Oz).

Anyway, I thought the opening ceremony was a little blah, but thats just me.
