Just so I read your post right, you think you are failing because you only have 1 child? There is nothing wrong with having only 1 child. ATM DD is an only child and I'm not sure if/when that will change. Although I pain for another child, I don't feel that I am failing my DD for not having a sibling for her.

having 1 child IS NOT failing! Your little one is obviously loved, and thats all that counts. Some people dont even get the chance to be 'mum' to one.
If there is no wind, row.
Hi. I've only just seen your post now, and can say that I somewhat relate to how you are feeling. I feel that my daughter "deserves" a playmate sibling. Having said that though I do also know that she's loved and I can do lots with her now and giving her a sibling now is impossible, I also think that by the time I meet someone and have another child she's going to be too old to have that sibling as a playmate for her. But if one is all you get, you have to just make the most of it.
