Default Travel In Melbourne With Bub

We will be flying to Melbourne with a 6 month old baby and require transport with a baby seat from the airport to Melbourne City. Any ideas of who we can contact??

phone the local taxi companies in melb and arrange for a pick up (make a booking) at a certain time and request a car seat..

we did this once (cant remember which state) and they met us at the baggage carousel with our name on cardboard so we knew who was picking us up.

    Hope that helps..
either that or hire a car and rqt a car seat

Although I think you can legally take a taxi with bubs in a baby sling, this is not recommended because it isn't safe.

You can call a car service - like a chauffeur service - but not a limo. They will source a car seat for you. It only costs about an extra 40% more than a taxi. Look up "Limousine &/or Car Hire Services--Chauffeur Driven" in the yellow pages and ring around to get the best price and those willing to put a baby seat in.

Otherwise if you are willing to hire a car, Avis will provide you with a car seat for about an extra $4 per day.
