After years of trying without luck and a relatively lengthy search for an egg donor I was lucky enough to find a generous lady and we cycled in January this year. This resulted in four lovely embies and a pregnancy but then miscarriage. She donated again in the middle of this year to someone else and was going to donate again to me afterwards but now can't so I find I need to search again and hope for another miracle. Here's my story:
Hi I’m Nat and I'm in search of a very special woman to be my beautiful egg donor angel. I'm 42 and live in a lovely suburb of Canberra with my son and our dogs (who came to us after being abandoned by their owners).
I was blessed with my beautiful son in my early 20s and I treasure him every day. He is the most gentle, loving and kind young man and I’m so grateful that I’ve had the opportunity to be his mum.
Our home is full of love and warmth and we enjoy many benefits from having lived here for over 12 years, with great friends around us, a wonderful pre-school and primary school just minutes away and an excellent high school within walking distance.
I have tertiary qualifications in psychology and primary education and I have a good job in the government that will allow me to take an extended period of leave when the baby is born and to work part time when the time is right.
I believe that being a parent is the most important job we can ever have, and it is something that I know I was born to do. I have always given my son an abundance of love, affection and time, and the necessary boundaries to help him feel secure and to help him grow into the wonderful young adult he is now. Together we have enjoyed a myriad of activities, from blowing raspberries on his tummy and playing peekaboo when he was tiny to reading together and wrestling when he was older, and now watching him spread his wings while providing a secure base from which he can explore his own identity and safely gain growing independence.
As much as I love my son, I still want another child, one to share my time and my love with and and to show the joy of life. I want to be able to hold that precious baby and look in their beautiful eyes and melt as I watch that most beautiful face look up at me. I will always hold him or her dear in my heart even as I have to let go and watch him/her make his/her own way into adulthood.
If I am blessed with finding my special donor angel and having another child I will be actively involved with that child and I will do all that I can to help him/her grow physically, emotionally, intellectually and spiritually to be the best s/he can be. We will spend many wonderful hours together playing, reading, cycling, camping, BBQing, exploring and enjoying the many wonderful activities that Canberra and the world has to offer, of which there are many. S/he will always feel loved, wanted and cared for through a wonderful network of aunts and uncles, both family and friends. S/he will have a totally besotted grandma and the very best big brother ever. I would hope that my special donor angel would be willing to allow the child to know her and her family, and I am open to finding the best way for us all.
So if you’re a woman aged 18-35yo and would like to help make a dream come true please email donor_enquiry@yahoo.com.au and we can get to know each other so you can feel certain that your most generous and wonderful gift is going to the right home.
