    Default Hug-A-Bub mammas!

    I need your wisdom.

I've bought myself a HAB style wrap for the little one and was after any fabulous tips that you can give me - best positions, how to BF while wearing, just any advice you have for best enjoying the HAB experience.

    Cheers dears!

Ohhhh - you have made the right move!

I love love LOVE my HAB! I have only worn Jedd 2 ways; facing me and facing the world!

If you want to bf then the pepod position is definitely the way to go, though I found that if I just made it slightly looser so it hung a little bit lower, then I could quite easily feed while he was facing me in the normal position.

Have never tried the hip or back position - Jedd has always been too little though I'm keen to try them at some stage.

    Your gonna love it!

Thanks PL! I wish I'd known about them (and so much more) when I had Millie.

the best advice I have if you go out, put it on before you leave the house, then use the car window as a mirror to help you get bubs in.

    This is fantastic advice!

Also, if you have large hips with a small waist, then tie it up around your waist, rather than trying to have it sit on your hips. Reason being, its going to ride up to the waist anyway, and then will become loose and uncomfortable. Plus it'll be a lot more supportive if its done on your waist to begin with.

Oh - and teach hubby how to use it! Grant LOVES using ours and often does household stuff with Jedd in it (yes, I have a great hubby lol)

This shows you how to feed easily :

I found this the most comfy way. The site also shows you how to do the pea pod hold etc.

I also agree with putting it on before you go out then all you have to do is pop bubs in when you arrive soooo much easier !

I basically keep mine on around the house too so when Squeak is being fussy i just pop him in.

Thanks girls! I've had a few practices at different wrapping techniques and am getting there - the BIG belly gets in the way a bit!

Putting it on before driving somewhere and having it on during the day sound like smart thinking.

Do you find that you have to wrap it super tight? Does it get a little saggy over a few hours of wear?

Yeah, it does need re-tightening every once in awhile, however not so much with a newborn For a newby, you do have to wrap it pretty tight, for comfort of both wearer and baby.

What type of material is your wrap? A HAB isn't too stretchy, but you can get more woven wraps that don't have much stretch at all. I have also bought a homemade wrap that was made out of very, very stretchy cotton jersey... the type of material will really dictate how tight you do it and how often you have to tighten it.

Yeah like Ikis said it really depends on the material.

Mine is a stretch jersey so needs to be tightened sometimes but its easily enough solved !

If its more like the HAB or cheesecloth i would think it would need less.

my secret was too do it up tight as if the baby is already in there, then it is nice and secure when you put them in but, like others have said, that would probably have a lot to do with the material
