Default Fighting the boobs just a stage i hope!

Indie is 8 weeks and last night and today all she does is fight the boobs, she is getting enough though shes content but she starts to feed then when that let downs gone she is going crook, grunting and growling so to speak but screwing her face up like shes swallowed something that doesnt taste very nice.

Shes still quiet settled but i am finding her speed feeds, as i put them have gone from 10 mins to about an hour, i know most of its probably comfort but she just fights and fights and its like grrr do you want it or dont you!

I have forgotten how long this lasted with my others but damn its frustrating, any ideas to help stop the fighting the boob?

Oh my! DH just asked if perhaps I should post on BubHub and ask this exact question as its been doing our heads in a little! My 8 week old has just started to do this in the last few days.

So whilst I have no suggestions I can perhaps confirm by numbers alone that perhaps this is a stage.

Julius started doing the same thing about that age...It didnt get better.

But he is nice and doppy during his night feeds, so I try and enjoy that.

Too used to a good thing? Sounds like she doesn't want to have to 'work' for it!

Have you eaten anything different lately?

Hmm well silly me who said my baby NEVER cried well she did cry last night it was a first for her. Maybe i jinxed myself. I did accidently eat some garlic laced gravy yesterday and realised when i was half way through my meal so maybe thats why shes fighting? Usually she has about ten mins then 5 mins and shes done for 3-5 hours but shes going 5 mins then screaming so i swap and she does the same thing then fights me. She hands off me then for about an hour and a half which is so not like her.
I know the garlic may upset her a little but i didnt think she would fight me as such its driving me mad already lol, my dream baby has turned feral!

Could it be the 8 week growth spurt? Kaid got like this around 8 weeks to, it was so sad! I felt so rejected.

I hope it all gets better soon!

I was thinking growth spurt too - the longer feeds and being fussy about let down might be a clue...she's extra hungry and feeding longer and not liking to wait.

I remember DS doing this around 8 weeks - for about 4 days he was permafeeding. I was stuck on the couch with him stuck to my boob around the clock. Thought I was going to go nuts and then it just stopped...thank god! Hang in there it'll pass.

OMG that is so strange that is the same thing Bella had been doing at first i thought it was something i ate but i think it might be a growth spurt all i need is a new couch then sitting for ages wont be so uncomfortable!!

I agree with growth spurt theory, i had it more around 6 weeks, then again at 3 months, he is now almost 4 months and it is changing again, but this time is a lot better. hang in there
