I didn't have a spontaneous labour but the last few weeks of pregnancy were pretty awful. I couldn't sleep longer than about 2 hours without getting up and walking about (I hurt my back) and I could only sleep in one position (I usually toss and turn all over the place).

I had a 1.5m waistline (if you can call it a waistline) and I felt like hell. I had to have help to get dressed and undressed. I needed help to walk for more than a few minutes (all the pensioners zoomed past me and left me for dead). Not an ideal way to start labour.

I actually got more sleep after I had ds!

    Hope yours is better !

I know with my first baby I went into a mad frenzy of wanting the entire house clean ( and I was crook with the flu!)
I said to my DH "I have to clean the house - the baby is coming!" and I stomped off to do stuff only to have my waters break!

I was really cranky and irritable and tired - I went to bed and my waters broke early the next morning.
