Default Kitten not eating dry food?

So, Oscar isn't eating any dry food and instead is constantly nagging me for meat-based food...

He hasn't got any fancy brands... I needed to buy whatever I could on the weekend, and so he has some sachets of Whiskers kitten food, and Optimum dry kitten food.

How can I get him to eat the dry food? Should I mix it in with the wet food and slowly lessen the amount of wet food mixed in with it, until he's just eating dry food on his own?

I mean, I'm fine with feeding him wet food, but I'd really like it if he ate some dry food too.. .

    Any tips?

Maybe make the dry food softer, with a little boiling water, let it cool, then feed her it! Or even some beef stock, could add a bit of vegemite, mums cats love vegemite, and we used it to encourage them to eat certain foods (cheaper brands)!

Might just be too hard for him to chew!

Our cat hardly ever has dry food, instead gets half a can at morning and night. Hes 2 now btw.

Anyways, the first thing that came to mind was mixing a little gravy into the dry food, this appeals to Shadow, so it may appeal to Oscar
    Hope that helps!

Yep just pour some hot water over the dry food and let it cool..
As oscar gets bigger and finds it easier to chew simply lesson the amount of water till its just dry food..
