Is your impression of infant gaviscon that it is decent or worthwhile or a piece of poo?? LOL
Considering putting Declan onto this as he is refluxing of a night (amongst other things) and the colic relief and infacol aren't working.

It seems like that's what the drs have to advise first before other medications. I haven't heard from too many people that used it and had it work. If they are breastfed I also found it a pain to administer. Might work for you, you can only try I guess. My DS ended up on Zantac which worked ok for him.
Looked after new born triplets, 2 of which were on gaviscon, it was fantastic, made a huge difference to them!!!!! Immediate difference!!!!!!!!
Gaviscon for my child gave her diarohea (?), which is one of the side affects. So we stopped giving that to her, and only gave her LOSEC as per perscription from Paed. She did go on Zantac first, and there is a 72 'work or no work' period, it didn't work for her as she started vomiting again.
The prescriptions may be government subsidised. Sometimes paeds (like ours) didn't organise a subsidised prescription until I asked if it was a medicine that warranted it. Where it was $28.00 for a box of 10mg tablets. We paid $28.00 for two boxes, several months worth.
