Default how long does it take? (food question)

just wondering how long roughly it takes for the food I eat to go through into my breastmilk? Just trying to figure out if DS being unsettled and having problems with wind today has something to do with things I ate yesterday so im trying to narrow it down. Also things I drink how long does it take for them to go through into my breastmilk?

I was always told 12 hours but have seen different opinions since then. To be honest the only thing that I have ever been able to connect with an unsettled baby was when I took fenugreek - the wind pains crippled him. Apart from that with all three children i have never been able to work out the effect of food on them.

Like draught ive heard different things too.

For us it takes approx 8hrs before Squeak reacts to something but then in the case of dairy it seems to happen quicker. Possibly because he is more sensitive i dunno.

If you feel he is reacting to things in your diet you are best to cut right back to a bland diet for 10days cause this is how long it can take for your system to be clear of things especially dairy. Then slowly add one thing at a time to see whether he reacts.

Otherwise if he seems happy enough i wouldnt stress too much !
