    Default Seafood and pregnant?

    Is it safe to eat cooked seafood in your 1st trimester?
    DD1 - September 01 "Little Chook"
    DD2 - June 08 "Mini Chook"

    if its fully cooked i dont see why not! just not sushi. but ewww to that anyways, lol.

    The midwife in my early pregnancy class said it's best to avoid seafood all the way through (except fish) - she said it's not worth the risk.

    I haven't had any at all.

    Stay away from raw or undercooked seafood. Also, make sure its fresh - as in hasnt been sitting around for ages - or at least frozen and then cooked properly. If you trust the place where you are getting the seafood from then there isnt a problem but stay away from the dodgy places.
    I ate seafood when pregnant with DS and I am eating it in this pregnancy...

    I eat seafood that is cooked and as long as it is served hot, I believe that it is fine.

    Cooked seafood is fine to eat, its the raw stuff that you have to avoid.
