Unhappy i think im going insane

DD (2yrs) is driving me insane! even when she babbles - i want to crack my head against the wall the sound of her voice is just... making my skin crawl today!
    i cant escape from it.
she woke up asking for a bottle, so i got her watered down juice.. so she had a tantrum. i take the bottle away and then she has another tantrum because shes decided she'll have the juice..

then i say "come and i'll change your nappy" and she has a tantrum.. so i think, ok.. will leave it a bit longer and then she has another tantrum cos she wants her bum changed..

it seems everything i do or she does this morning causes a tantrum, no matter what happens!

i could never hurt her - she is safe (so please dont fear her safety..) but im worried about my sanity - i wish i could just find some peace of mind..

Oh dear. 2 year olds trying to assert their independence can be a nightmare. Sometimes you can offset the tantrums by offering a simple choice - ie milk or juice in her bottle, but this can backfire too sometimes if they're just not ready to understand or make a choice - they end up wanting both! or Neither!

Do what you can to make this day as easy on yourself as you can - dig out her favorite activities, favorite but healthy foods, an easy dinner, etc. And if you can, try not to have any set things you have to do by a certain time. I always found the pressure of being somewhere for an appointment, with an unco-operative 2 year old, to be incredibly stressful.

It so hard when you know what you want and your mother just doesn't understand!!

When our 19 month old started babbling we thought it was hilarious - for about a week!

Get her to show you what she wants and sometimes..you just have to do what needs to be done, if she HAS to be changed, then do it and put up with the noise (doors are wonderful things!!) you don't want a two year old calling all the shots all the time after all!!
