Did you run some cold water over it when it happened? Or even put a cool face washer on it? Things like that would have helped straight away.

Do you have any pawpaw ointment? I put that on burns and it helps them to heal really fast (I'm always burning myself on things...the toaster got me yesterday lol).

If it's not a very big burn then you probably don't need to go to the dr, but do keep an eye on it while it heals just in case it gets infected.

WHENEVER a child (or anybody for that matter) gets burned by something hot (ie not something chemical), to stop the skin from continuing to burn, you need to run cold water over it for 5 - 10 minutes.

Don't put ice on it however, that can cause further damage an in fact give 'ice burns'.

Don't beat yourself up, these things happen, maybe in the future keep the smoke way up when she is around. I know when i used to smoke Jaxon didn't care, he just used to run into me all the time. They don't realise that its hot! I would put something cool on it, liek a fashwasher and hopefully that will take the swelling down. Hopefully it won't scar. Kids are pretty tough.
A friend will stick up for you and calm you down when your mad....... but a best friend will skip alongside you with a shovel giggling "someones gonna get it!"
