Default Different bottles, different measurements ...

I'm a little baffled by this and a bit concerned...
Since ds started bottle feeding i chose the Avent wide neck bottles, however ds has become fussy with his feeds... I'm experimenting at the moment with ideas and purchased a normal Tomme Tippee bottle (narrow neck)... I was a little shocked to find that 200ml in the Avent bottle came to 175 ml in the Tommee Tippee bottle so i measured 200ml in the measuring jug and filled the Tommee Tippee bottle back up and it comes to just over 180ml.....
    They're all different.....
    What should i go by?
Has anyone else come by this?

wow thats interesting...How much is there in the avent if you do the measuring jug and put 200 into that?
Never tried measuring before so never noticed.

O.K I've lined up all of the bottles...
I feel like all i need is the white coat...

In hand i have 1 of each of the following brands of bottles:
    *Avent
    *Tommee Tippee
    *Happy Baby
    *Dymples
I am using a pyrex measure jug which i have compared to another measure jug and they are accurate...
200ml in each bottle read as follows...
    *Avent =190ml
    *Tommee Tippee =180ml (just over)
    *Happy Baby =200ml
    *Dymples =180ml
I suppose it's not a huge deal... It's really only 10 - 20 ml out... I know liquid measurements are different in each country so i suppose it's the make of the bottle... Which makes sense considering 'Happy Baby' is Australian made and was the only correct one... A lot of the bottles are made and printed overseas and you have to wonder...
    Interesting though...

If anyone out there has different bottles to the one's i have tried, it would be interesting to see...
    Only a thought!!!

that is weird!! im gonna go and try one of the avent type ones i have (called infinti or something)

for a new born 10-20ml can be a huge difference! our formula is 1 scoop to 30ml... so its almost a scoop out... pretty scary

I did my avent one just then, I get 200 for 200.

edit to add: Yep I did it again, still 200 jug to 200 avent.

    I wouldn't be too worried about it. It's only 10ml - 20ml
